Our Vision

Cindi Amaral Flanagan is committed to being a voice for the community. She believes our community is defined by how well we care for one another and protect what we love. To her, preservation is a promise— to honor our history, defend our small-town character, and ensure fairness, safety, and opportunity for every neighbor. By listening, leading with compassion, and valuing every voice, she is committed to building a future worthy of the generations who will call this place home.

Why is Cindi running for City Commissioner for Zone 2?

I’m running for City Commission because New Smyrna Beach is more than my hometown, it’s the community that shaped who I am.

I grew up here, went to school here, worked local jobs, and learned early the value of service and responsibility. After building a career as a CPA and raising my family, I chose to come home, invest in a small business, and continue giving back through community leadership.

Today, New Smyrna Beach faces real challenges, flooding, growth, protecting our natural resources and our history, and managing taxpayer dollars responsibly. These issues deserve thoughtful, practical leadership grounded in experience, not politics.

I believe growth should be balanced, neighborhoods respected, small businesses supported, and our lagoon and history protected. Most of all, I believe leadership starts with listening.

I’m running to be a steady, trusted voice, focused on preserving what makes New Smyrna Beach special while building a future our children and grandchildren will be proud to call home.
